![]() | Peter EastwayHaving worked in most areas of professional photography, Peter Eastway’s passion is for landscapes. He first exhibited with the Cavé Group in 1979, but it is over the past ten years that he has been exhibited more regularly with his award-winning imagery. Peter is also a Grand Master of Photography, one of only two in the world and earned from a career spanning nearly 30 years. He's been twice awarded the AIPP Australian Professional Photographer of the Year. He was thrice awarded the Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year, Australian Illustrative Photographer of the Year in 2004, and thrice the NSW Professional Photographer of the Year. Recently he won the Grand Award for the Commercial Category at the 2005 WPPI Exhibition in Las Vegas. His work is in many public collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The National Gallery of Australia, Canberra and The National Gallery of Victoria. Les is the former Director of Media Arts at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, where he is now a Postgraduate Research Fellow and Australian Research Council Discovery Project grant recipient in the School of Art. He conducts regular digital imaging courses through the Centre for Contemporary Photography, the AIPP and ACMP, and his consulting services include the design-implementation of production workflows, and quantitative-qualitative digital systems analysis. |
