Jan Suhr's experience with colormanagement goes back many years. Suhr started to work with it in 1998 and had followed it since it became a reality in 1997. Late in 1999 he implemented it in their workflow at the printshop he was prepress manager at. We used a RGB-workflow through Creo Prinergy. Jan Suhr has been part of the betagroup for InDesign since the beginning and especially followed output questions. He has also participated in other betagroups like the colorgroup Adobe had before the latest betacycle started.
Today Jan Suhr has a full understanding of how it works in Adobe applications and what to look out for. He has been conducting seminars and training in Color Managment for end users. In some cases in collaboration with Adobe Sweden. Colormanagement is a very important technology with a great future; it needs understanding and training to work as expected. But for the everyday user it will be of great help in production since the user now can see on the monitor how the work will look when printed.
