Great CSS Layout Techniques (9:00-9:45)

In this section, you will see how to expand that concept to 3 or more columns, you will understand positioning (absolute, relative, etc.), work with clearfix and other methods, and even percent based layouts to start to understand how "responsive web design" works.

Cool CSS Type Techniques (9:45-10:30)
Every web site or page, for that matter, starts with some styling that is really generic. In this section you will break out of the generic formatting and create some exciting typography for drop caps, quotes, really understanding and seeing hosted fonts, understand and use percent and em based sizings, vertically align text. You'll even see more shorthand, applying multiple classes to one object and much more.

Background image techniques (10:45-11:15)
Background images are used for all kinds of design elements. In this section, you will apply background images to a page that stretches to fit, create a background image for a unique bullet in a list, use a PNG background image to create a Netflix style popup, apply multiple background images, and more.

Styling tables, lists, and images with captions (11:15-12)
Tables are still used for data, and using CSS you can create a great design with some exciting interactive features like row highlighting on mouse over. Lists are also an important part of your site, and in this section, you'll learn some tricks for styling lists, as well as creating an array of images with captions.

LUNCH ON YOUR OWN - 12–1:15

Using CSS3 (1:15-2:00)
CSS3 is hot on the web right now and can add some serious design punch to your pages. In this section you'll get a firm grasp on how to apply some of the best CSS3 formatting options like rounded corners, text shadows, box shadows, @font-face for using your own fonts, different ways to express color, and more. You'll even see the method used to get IE to play along.

Take Your Site Mobile using CSS Media Queries  (2:00–3:00)
Mobile web design is what a lot of us are talking about and is worth considering for your client's websites. In this section, you will see the different methods used to achieve a mobile optimized site, and you will learn about the CSS3 media queries that are an easy way to create different styles for different devices.

BREAK 3:00-3:15

JQuery and CSS for your site  (3:15–4:20)
Who doesn't want awesome in their site? Using JQuery and CSS, you can add some amazing slideshows, lightboxes, smooth scrolling and more to your pages.
