About the Instructor
Brian Wood is an Adobe Certified Creative Suite Master, author of three books published by Peachpit Press, as well as numerous video titles for Lynda.com. As co-owner and Director of Training of eVolve Computer Graphics Training Inc., he is a seasoned web developer and trainer. Brian is also the host of the MOGO Media Web Design Podcast. He has provided training to clients like Nordstrom, REI, Costco, Starbucks, Nintendo and many others, and speaks regularly at national and regional events, including The Web Design Conference, CSS Master Class, The Creative Suite Conference, The InDesign Conference, as well as events hosted by AIGA, GAG, STC, CASE and other industry organizations.

Website Prototyping (10:00–11:00)
The first step of any creative process is to showcase the concept. Learn how to use the compositing features of Photoshop and the prototyping tools in Fireworks to develop a mock-up of your website, then take that concept to Dreamweaver CS3.
Introduction to CSS (11:15–12:15)
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are the current web-compliant standard for formatting pages written in HTML or XHTML. To build eff ective browser and search engine-friendly sites, you’ll begin by learning the principles of HTML, CSS, and CSS-based layout using the built-in CSS layout tools in Dreamweaver CS3.
LUNCH ON YOUR OWN (12:15–1:15)
Dreamweaver CS3 Basics (1:15–2:30)
Using your new foundation of knowledge, you’ll step into site creation with Dreamweaver CS3, learning how to build a website with CSS, images, links, navigation and more. In addition to reviewing the tools, workspace and panels, you’ll dive into document construction using the built-in CSS tools that make page creation more effi cient.
Creative Suite 3 Integration (2:45–3:45)
While discovering additional tools in Dreamweaver CS3, you’ll incorporate Photoshop, Illustrator, and video content using Adobe Bridge into Dreamweaver. You’ll also explore the ability to export XHTML content directly from Adobe InDesign CS3 for use in your website.
Taking it to the Next Level (4:00–5:00)
In this last session, you’ll learn how to publish your content to the Web as well as for mobile. You’ll also preview some of the web’s current technology trends, including Spry navigation menus, working with Spry widgets and more.
