About the Instructor
Sandee Cohen has been teaching computer graphic for over twenty years, first starting at the ad agency where she worked, and then moving onto to corportate and university training. A popular speaker at conferences all over the world, she is known for her energetic and engaging style as well as her humorous delivery. She is also the author of books on InDesign, Illustrator, as well as the Creative Suite and Web graphics. Flash Without Tears was born from her own struggles to understand and create Flash files.

10 Tricks Every InDesign User Needs to Know (9:00–10:15)
We’ve traveled around the world doing InDesign training, and we’ve distilled out ten tricks that every InDesign user should know (but few people do). From essential shortcuts to formatting imported text and graphics quickly, this session is chock-full o’ jewels that are good (and good for you, too).
Text and Graphics (10:30–11:15)
Learn the secrets of how the InDesign masters import and manage their text and graphics—from the fastest way to apply styles to the most efficient way to control transparency and linked images. Explore tricks for flowing long documents, anchoring images to text, and formatting type in the blink of an eye.
Layout Techniques (11:30–11:45)
Creating an InDesign document is like constructing a building—if you don’t know how to build a firm foundation, the whole thing could come tumbling down. In this short session, you’ll learn some of the most important layout techniques, including working with master pages, layout adjustment, guides, and alignment.

InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator: Put ’Em Together (1:15–2:00)
If you use Illustrator and/or Photoshop alongside InDesign, you have to see this session. Find out the best way to make these programs work together, including ensuring maximum quality while maintaining maximum flexibility.
Troubleshooting (2:15–3:00)

From Interstate 95 North
Take I-95 North to Exit 22 Central Philadelphia / I- 676. Stay in the left lane of this exit. Follow signs for I-676 West to the 1st exit (Broad Street). This exit brings you up to 15th Street. Get into left lane and follow the sign for 611/Broad Street and make a left turn on to Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.
From Interstate 95 South

Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 20/I-476. Take I-476 South to Exit 57/I-76 Philadelphia. Stay on I-76 East for approximately 12 miles to Exit 344/I-676 East. Take I- 676 East and exit at Broad Street/Rte. 611 (2nd exit). You will be on Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center to 12th Street (4 traffic lights). Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.
From the New Jersey Turnpike
Take NJ Turnpike to exit 4 (Philadelphia / Camden Exit). Take Rte. 73 North and follow it to Rte. 38 West. Take 38 West to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, crossing into Philadelphia. Follow local traffic and the signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Go approximately 6 blocks and make a left turn onto 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.
Arriving via Philadelphia International Airport
