About the Instructor:
April Clark, owner of Nuance Consulting LLC, is a consultant and trainer for web and print publishing professionals. April is an Adobe Certified Instructor and an Adobe Community Professional. She is also co-founder and Chapter Representative of the Cleveland InDesign User Group. April formed Nuance Consulting in 2002. At the time, businesses had just begun converting to Adobe InDesign from other page layout applications and April was an integral part of the conversion process for many agencies and in-house design departments. She now specializes in helping graphic designers take advantage of the power of the entire Adobe® Creative Suite®. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, April teaches Adobe Creative Suite classes for both The Cleveland Institute of Art and Cleveland State University Continuing Education programs.

The Adobe Creative Suite: Using InDesign with Bridge, Photoshop, and Illustrator (9:00–10:15)
Learn the many great ways that the Adobe Creative Suite Design Standard applications work together with InDesign. Highlights include editing original files directly from InDesign, tips for saving and placing files with Bridge and swapping swatches between applications. Many powerful tips and tricks will be shown!
Master InDesign Layout Techniques (10:30–11:45)
Learn how to set up your facing or non-facing page InDesign documents correctly. Learn some of the most important layout techniques, including working with master pages, sections and bleed guides.

Exploring Text and Graphics (1:30–2:45)
Learn the best ways to import and manage your text and graphics—from the fastest way to apply styles to the most efficient way to control transparency and linked images.
InDesign Interactivity (3:00–4:15)
