Before We Get Started: Setting Up InDesign: Preferences, Custom Workspace, Custom Panels (9:00–10:15)
The InDesign Interface is very customizable. Most of the features you need are already there. In this session, you will learn how to set up InDesign before starting a project and setting it right. We will go over the preferences panel, Workspace, Tool Box, Color Panel, as well as working and saving InDesign custom templates.

Unleash Your Creativity - Working with Images in InDesign (10:30–12)

Designing for print, web or interactive content. At the end of the day, your design depends on great images. In this session, you will learn how to import images to InDesign using the bridge and mini bridge and integration with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Highlights include editing original files directly from InDesign, placing Photoshop native files, using layer comps, and working with dynamic links.

Exploring Text and Styles (1:30–2:45)
In this session, we will explore exporting text from other application and styling it in InDesign. Session highlights will include importing text from word, creating Master pages, creating paragraph and character styles, creating Object Styles.
From Print to Web: InDesign Goes Interactive (3:00–4:15)
In this session, we will explore creating Interactive PDF files. Working with InDesign CS5 new animation features, integration with video and exporting it to a SWF file or a Flash Professional flash.
Working with InDesign Scripts. & Q & A (4:15–4:45)
A quick look at inDesign Scripts - allowing you to create great design using pre-made scripts. Suggestions about free scripts, downloads, and much more.
